Abstract

917,489. Vibrating conveyers. LOCKER INDUSTRIES Ltd. Aug. 2, 1961 [May 2, 1960], No. 15424/60. Class 78 (1). A vibrating trough 13 (Fig. 1) is carried by leaf springs 14 and coil springs 16 and is reciprocated by motor 20 via flexible linkage 24. Likewise counterbalance 26, 27 is carried by leaf springs 29 and coil springs 30 and is driven from the same motor 20 by a similar linkage, but out of phase. Discharge device, Fig. 4.-Material conveyed along trough 13 from hopper 12 fed by conveyer 11 is discharged by ploughs 35 and 34 over lips 32, 33 on to platforms 36, 37 carried by the counterweight 26, 27. The oscillation of the counterweight distributes the material along the length of the counterweight and discharges the material over its edge.
