Class 125(ii) In a filling head for a rotating table counter-pressure bottling machine in which passages for liquid and gas are embodied in a valve body 30 and a disc valve 44 rotated by trips around the machine, counterpressure gas flows to an annular chamber 66 in the head from a pipe 28 within the reservoir through passages 91, 92, 96, 98, 100 and 70 of substantially constant cross-sectional area, (Fig. 2), and gas displaced from the bottle during filling flows from the chamber 66 to the pipe 28, through passages 68, 102, 104, 105, 92 and 91, (Fig. 9), a restriction 72 being located at the junction of passages 68, 102. The valve body and disc also include suitable passages for venting the bottle and for blowing out the passages after filling has been completed.
