697,201. Stoppers &c. DEBACQ, M. A. O. July 17, 1951 [Nov. 3, 1950], No. 16979/51. Class 125(iii) A self-closing stopper consists of a flexible cap 3 secured to the collapsable tube or other container 2 and having a dome provided with a slot 4, the thickness of the dome decreasing from its base to its apex and the lips of the slot being normally maintained in contact with one another. Pressure on the collapsable tube or on the cap itself causes separation of the lips and allows expulsion of the contents of the container through the slot. When pressure is released the slot closes again. The cap may have a rotatable cover with a slot which can be brought into alignment with the slot 4.
