696,671. Loudspeakers. BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION, SHORTER, D. E. L., and PETRIE, R. D. Sept. 18, 1950 [Sept. 23, 1949], No. 24528/49. Class 13 [Also in Group XXXIX] A loudspeaker cabinet has an upper chamber 13 connected by an opening 16 to a lower chamber 14 with a vent 19 to the atmosphere. The opening 16 is masked by several layers of felt 17 and the lower chamber is of irregular shape to prevent setting up of standing waves. The associated amplifier may be housed in the space 24. In a modification, Fig. 2, the vent 27 is at the bottom of the.lower chamber.
