695,894. Water-waste-preventing cisterns. SHIRES & CO. (LONDON), Ltd. Jan: 1. 1952 [Dec. 7, 1950], No. 30022/50. Class 26. A water-waste preventing cistern having a moulded body 10 and lid 12 is provided at the body rim 17 with a projecting bead 19 formed integral with, or attached to, a flange 21 which rests on the rim, the bead and the flange being held in position by projecting ears 22 on the flange which engage with the inner face' of the cistern wall. The bead and the flange are preferably of metal and may be chromium plated or, if of aluminium, anodized. Alternatively the bead may be of synthetic moulding material and integral with a flange of the same material or affixed to a metal flange.
