[Also in Groups IX and XXXIV] A pressure roller for a spinning or like machine comprises an inner sleeve 5 non-rotatable about the roller shaft 1 but oscillatable on a pivot shaft 3 mounted in the shaft 1 with its axis perpendicular to the roller shaft axis and an outer sleeve 8 rotatably mounted on two rows of balls 7 interposed between the sleeves 3, 5. The pivot shaft 3 oscillates in a bush 4 fitted into a hole in the roller shaft 1 which is provided with a central guide pin 2. The balls 7 are retained by washers 9 and split rings 11. Rubber covers may be attached to the outer sleeve 8.
