694,431. Seats. HARRIS & TYLER, Ltd. Jan. 16, 1950, No. 1059/50. Addition to 629,965. Classes 52(i) and 52(ii) The invention described in the parent Specification is modified so that the thighrest comprises a plate 6d of arcuate formation and supporting springs of L or angle formation for attachment at or near their extremities to the plate 6d. The supporting springs preferably are constructed in loop form and anchored at their ends at 6c to the plate and at 5 to the chair frame. The front of the seat may be provided with a gap for the control rod of an airplane in which case thigh-rests are disposed on each side of gap. Specifications 429,528, 522,100, and 550,068 also are referred to.
