693,337. Garment waistbands. HAMBLETON, A. B. Aug. 8, 1951 [Aug. 9, 1950], No. 18648/51. Class 141. A waistband for trousers &c. comprises a lower band 11 overlapping the upper edge of the garment 10 and an upper band 13 overlapping. the upper edge of the band 11. Belt loops 12 extend across the lower band and have their ends secured beneath the lower edges of the bands 11, 13. Instead of a complete belt being used, the garment may have a half belt detachably secured to the lower band at the sides, loops being provided only at the back. Alternatively, tensioned strips of elastic having fastenings at their ends may extend through tunnels formed in the same manner as the belt loops.
