690,770. Locking bolts and nuts. CITROEN, A. Jan. 26, 1951 [Jan. 27, 1950; Feb. 20. 1950; Dec. 15, 1950], No. 2057/51. Class 89 (i) Screwed members such as bolts and nuts are prevented from unscrewing under vibration &c. after assembly by coating the threads of the bolt with an elastic substance 3, having a high co-efficient of friction, such as natural or synthetic rubber. The coating may also extend to the shank and underside of the bolt head and to the bearing surface of the nut. Corrosion is prevented and reduced.
