Abstract

Cumene hydroperoxide in a proportion of 0.1 to 5 per cent by weight is incorporated with hydrocarbon-base fuels high in aromatic hydrocarbons to prevent excessive deposition of carbon when the fuels are used in turbo-jet engines. The preferred addition is 2 per cent by weight.
