688,531. Pouring spouts of oil-drums &c. RIEKE, I. H. May 27, 1948 [June 5, 1947], No. 14308/48. Class 66 A flexible spout 21, e.g. of Neoprene is secured at its wider end to the end of an oil-drum &c. by a clamping- ring 23 &c. The spout, after removal of a sealing-cap 27, 28 extends to the broken line position for pouring, the end 26 being slit or cut out or cut off. In modifications the end 26. is closed with a cap, or with a push-in stopper; or the sealing-cap 27, 28 is substituted by a screw-in plug; or the flexible spout is surrounded by a collar on which is mounted a lever for closing the spout; or the spout may be somewhat corrugated to facilitate collapsing axially in concertina fashion.
