Abstract

A hair shampoo liquid comprises an emulsion containing a synthetic detergent consisting of one or more water-soluble salts of sulphated long-chain alkyl alcohols containing at least 8 carbon atoms, minor proportions of vegetable oil and wax and sufficient water to achieve the desired consistency. Preferably, the detergent consists of one or more alkali, ammonium and triethanolamine salts of sulphated alkyl alcohols containing 12-18 carbon atoms. In the example, a hair shampoo consists of beeswax, almond oil, the sodium salt of lauryl alcohol sulphate, water, ammonium lauryl sulphate, an emulsion containing polymethyl methacrylate and the sodium salt of partially hydrolyzed polymethyl methacrylate, methyl cellulose, colour and perfume.ALSO:A hair shampoo liquid comprises an emulsion containing a synthetic detergent consisting of one or more water-soluble salts of sulphated long-chain alkyl alcohols containing at least 8 carbon atoms, minor proportions of vegetable oil and wax and sufficient water to achieve the desired consistency. Preferably, the detergent consists of one or more alkali, ammonium and triethanolamine salts of sulphated alkyl alcohols containing 12-18 carbon atoms. In an example, a hair shampoo consists of beeswax, almond oil, the sodium salt of lauryl alcohol sulphate, water, ammonium lauryl sulphate, an emulsion containing polymethyl methacrylate and the sodium salt of partially hydrolysed polymethyl methacrylate, methyl cellulose, colour and perfume.
