Abstract

686,564. Agglutinated fibrous sheet material. SCHULLER, W. Sept. 6, 1950. [May 4, 1950] No. 22007/50. Class 140. [Also in Group XXIII] In the making of glass fibre sheeting, the fibres b are blown against a fixed fine wire screen 6 and accumulate as a mat on a conveyer 7 by which they are continuously withdrawn and are passed under a guide roller 10 immersed in a bonding solution. After impregnation the mat is compressed and dried. A device 16 for spraying powders or liquids on the mat to increase the roughness of its surface may be provided.
