Class 39(iii) A liquid heating panel e.g. for frying fish has a thick metal base divided horizontally into two plates 2, 3 having oppositely formed semi-circular grooves 4 machined therein, which register to house a sheathed tubular electric heating element 5. The two plates are pressed together in intimate contact with the heater by nuts and bolts 6. A coating of colloidal graphite is placed on the grooved milled surfaces and on the heater 5. The sheet metal pan 1 carries a thermostat 8 and is welded to the upper plate 2 of the base, which is mounted on a support 7.
