Abstract

<PICT:0684695/IV (c)/1> <PICT:0684695/IV (c)/2> In a process of treating a textile in which the textile is advanced through a tube which is substantially filled with liquid treatment agent, the textile is so disposed in the tube that it occupies a sufficient section of the diameter thereof to prevent substantial by-pass of the textile body by the liquid in the tube. The fabric T is led from rolls 11a, 11b, 11c and 11d through an overflow tank 13 in which some treating liquid 14 is maintained to a narrow treating tube 15 filled with the treating liquid. After passing through the entrance tank 18 for the treatment liquid the fabric may be unfolded or subjected to a washing treatment by passing through a tube 151 in countercurrent to liquid 141.
