Abstract

An adhesive of freely flowing but rapid drying consistency, for joining textile, leather and other surfaces consists of approximately 95 per cent natural centrifuged rubber latex, having at least 60 per cent by volume of rubber, carried in ammonia or other volatile ammonium compound, and approximately 5 per cent by volume of a mixture containing sodium alginate, sodium carboxymethyl-cellulose, sodium benzoate, a substance sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Nipagin," and glycerine.
