Abstract
682,186. Refrigerators. RYDIN, M. E. Sept. 30, 1949, No. 25200/49. Class 29. A refrigerated display counter for meat and the like comprises a counter plate 10, a built-over transparent protective hood 16 which is open at one side and an air circulating fan 27 which forces air over evaporator coils 26 and through a row of holes 36 at the side of the plate 10 adjacent the open side of the hood, an upwardly flowing cold air-stream thus being formed across the opening, air being withdrawn by the fan through a top collector 38, side channels and channels 42. The walls of the plate 10 slope upwardly and it is divided transversely by detachable hollow partitions 12 having at the top rows of upwardly directed holes 35 which do not extend to the front of the counter plate to prevent condensation on the hood. Air flows from the fan by ducts 29 and square holes 30 to a baffle 52 which directs it into the partitions whence it escapes through holes 35 to form curtains of cold air enclosing the storage spaces above the plate 10. The partitions communicate through holes 32 with a channel 34 in the front wall 14 of which are formed the holes 36. Tights 46 and a table part 20 are provided. The storage spaces of the plate 10 receive trays 53 which may stand on insulators 54 and the plate 10 is cooled by a refrigerating coil 21. Specification 682,231 is referred to.
