678,858. Stamping. HALL, Ltd., J. & E. May 10, 1951 [May 22, 1950], No. 12731/50. Class 83 (iv). In a portable tool for flaring the ends o f tubing a die-holder comprises members 1, 2 bifurcated to house clamping-bolts 3, 4 engaged with pivot-pins 6, 7 and bored to receive split flaring-dies 14, 15. Locating pins 17 in the members 1, 2 engage holes 18 in the die parts. A single die may be bored for two tube sizes. The appropriate die is clamped in the holder and the pipe end inserted and flared by hammering on a taper punch.
