678,784. Agricultural implements. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. Feb. 21, 1951, No. 4215/51. Class 6(i) [Also in Group XXIX] A hydraulic mechanism for tractor-operated agricultural implements comprises a hydraulic ram 11 mounted on a trailing implement 12, one end of the ram cylinder being pivotally connected with the implement frame 14 by a pin 15 whereas the piston rod 16 of the ram is pivotally connected by a pin 17 with a depth gauge assembly 18 for raising the implement tool 19 to the transport position when the ram 11 is expanded. Hydraulic fluid under control of a manually-operated remote control valve at 33 is fed to, and exhausted from, the ram through conduits 21, 22, lowering of the implement tool being consequent upon retraction of the ram. The ram is provided with a valve at the piston rod end of its cylinder which controls exhaust of fluid from the opposite end of the cylinder (see Group XXIX), closing movement of the valve being initiated by means of an element provided on the piston rod.
