Class 110(ii) A sliding-vane pump of the type described in Specification 534,339 has a rotor with end flanges c, carried by the inner races of ball or roller bearings g; axial play of the rotor is prevented by a collar p and a nut r which secure the inner race of each bearing. The outer races h. of the bearing, are also locked in position. The pump may be used as a compressor or an exhauster.
