675,392. Electric resistances. WILKINS, S. R., and AUTOMATIC COIL WINDER & ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT CO., Ltd. Sept. 14, 1950 [Feb. 9, 1950], No. 3405/50. Class 37. [Also in Group XXXVII] A variable resistance comprises a resistance mesh 13, Fig. 2, deposited on an insulating base 12 and having a plurality of taps 14, the mesh being of such shape that the resistance between the taps 14 follows a predetermined law. Preferably the mesh is deposited by a photographic process from a drawing, Fig. 1, of the desired shape and size of mesh. The contacts 14 may be similarly produced. The resistance may be trimmed by removing a portion 17, Fig. 2.
