529,627. Electric hot-plates. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and SIMS, W. J. June 5, 1939, No. 16461. [Class 39 (iii)] In a boiling plate having heating units consisting of conductors 1, 6 formed of sheathed resistances wound in concentric circles and held between metal sheets 4, 5, the conductor of each unit is closely wound and is kinked to pass between the terminals 2, 3 in order to reduce the occurrence of cold portions of the plate near the terminals. The inner unit has three turns and the outer unit 6 two turns.
