Abstract

675,334. Levels. KAMMER, G., and SAUER, Q. Aug. 30, 1950 [July 14, 1949], No. 21396/50. Class 97 (ii). In a level instrument having level indicators 1, 6, Fig. 1, and sighting devices 11 arranged therein, the body of the instrument consists of drawn or pressed tubing of rectangular crosssection. The frame 4, Fig. 3, of level 1, is adjustably mounted within the instrument body by screws 2 and springs 3, serving as distancepieces. The level 6 is located in an insertion member which is fixed in its position by means of screws inserted from the outside, the levels being observed through openings 5, 7. A sight may be taken by means of aperture 9, mirror 8, pins 11, and aperture 12, swingable shutters 10, 13 being provided for the apertures. Mechanically-operating indicators may be provided instead of the liquid levels.
