In a projection apparatus having a mercury vapour lamp arranged for transmitting light through the optical system of a magnifying instrument, such as a microscope, there is pro,- vision for adjustably mounting the lamp so that it may be moved along its own axis and may also be moved at right angles to its own axis and to the axis of the optical system of the magnifying instrument. The description is identical with that in Specification 671,455. Specification 671,454 also is referred to.
