Abstract

1,116,802. Magnetic switches. SOVY (U.K.) Ltd., and B. E. AIRD-MASH. 15 June, 1965 [19 June, 1964], No. 25540/64. Heading H1N. Apparatus for indicating or controlling the level of liquid in a container 16 comprises a tubular chamber 7 having one or more contact units therein and a float 2 constrained to slide up and down the chamber. The contact unit or units have at least one movable contact 41 on an elongated resilient support which also carries a magnetic member or magnet 10 which is influenced by a respective magnet or magnetic member 12 attached to the float 2. As shown in Fig. 2, the float 2 and chamber 7 are shaped to prevent relative rotation between them.
