[Class 40 (i)] In modifications of the liquid-level indicating apparatus of the parent Specification, the float takes the form of a ring encircling either the resistance element or the vertical clamping bar or both, no separate guide casing being necessary. The clamping bar may be moved by an electromagnet to bring the float into contact with the resistance element as in the prior arrangements, or the clamping bar may be fixed and the resistance element movable.
