A photographic camera or copying apparatus, in which an image is formed by a lens system on a glossy-surfaced photographic emulsion carried on a flexible support, and in which the emulsion surface is located in relation to the image surface of the lens system by being pressed against the surface of a flat transparent plate, is characterized in that the surface of the plate in contact with the emulsion is lightly frosted to prevent the formation of Newton's rings and is located at the image surface of the lens system.
