Buttonholes, attachments for sewiwg.-In a device similar to that described in Specification 637,806 the work is prevented from being lifted by the needle by a foot 40 on a lever 37 extending below the pivot of the usual forkarm 30 and engaged by cam means on the forkarm to lift the foot while the work is being fed during the upper part of the needle movement. In the form shown the lever 37 is pivoted at 36 and is engaged by a cam tooth 46 on the forkarm to move it against a spring 41.
