673,175. Brushes; stocks; brush handles. ROSSEL G. Jan. 10, 1950, No. 614/50. Classes 19 and 61 (i). A scrubbing or like domestic brush of the kind comprising a resilient brush-head bearing bristles on its under-side and provided on its upper-surface with an undercut recess to receive removably a rigid holder adapted to be secured to the end of a brush handle, is characterised in that the holder is made of metal and has on its underside longitudinal- and cross-ribs serving as reinforcements therefor. As shown, the scrubber 'comprises a bristle bearing elastic head a having on its upper face a peripheral slot e, formed by an inwardly extending lip f, in which the rim of the metal holder c is held fast by the resilience of the elastic head. The cross-ribs h and longitudinal ribs (not shown) on the underneath of the holder bear on the upper surface of the head. The holder c is provided, preferably integrally, with a tube i adapted to receive a handle.
