Abstract

531,058. Grinding, waxing and polishing floors. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. July 11, 1939, No. 20181. Convention date, Aug. 4, 1938. [Classes 19, 60 and 138 (i)] A fastening member 13, Fig. 2, for securing a grinding or polishing tool 12 beneath rotary floor polishing brushes 11 and provided with a handle 18 which avoids the necessity of gripping the tool or of removing the brush or carrier member from the apparatus. The tool 12 may consist of a felt disc 12 and the member 13 comprises a cylindrical member with a flat base 16 and a bent out edge 19 engaging under the edge of the felt disc 12. The sleeve 13 carries a bow-shaped handle 18 of resilient construction projecting through openings 20 in the sleeve 13. The ends 19 of the handle 18 project over flanges 21 on the brush and pass through indentations in the sleeve 13. Specification 365,474 is referred to.
