Abstract

632,687. Soap holders. VERNALL, E W. March 26, 1947, No. 8213. [Class 131] [Also in Group XXIII] A brush for personal use has a rigid base and a removable, flexible brush head associated therewith, leaving a space between for the reception of soap and having one or more apertures through the head to allow the passage of water and suds. A preferred form, Figs. 2 and 3, has a circular base 10 of hard plastic or rubber with a flexible moulded brush head 11 formed by a convex element of rubber with integral prongs or bristles 12 on its outer convex surface. Apertures 14 disposed in concentric rings allow water access to space 13 for soap or soap powder. A vertical wall at the thickened edge 11a of the convex head, the outer periphery of which may be knurled 11d, has an annular lip 11c to engage and retain the base 10.
