Abstract

Dyes are made by condensing one molecular proportion of a 4,10-dihalogenanthanthrone with two molecular proportions of a monoaminoacedianthrone, or by condensing one molecular proportion of an aminoacedianthrone with the condensation product of one mol. of a 4,10-dihalogenanthanthrone with one mol. of an aminoacedianthrone. The products dye or print cotton olive-brown shades. The aminoacedianthrone may be obtained by reducing the product obtained by nitrating acedianthrone in nitrobenzene or in sulphuric acid. In examples, 1 mol. 4,10-dibromo- or dichloro- or 4-bromo-10-iodo-anthanthrone is condensed with 2 mols. aminoacedianthrone. Specification 453,853 is referred to.
