Abstract
670,437. Rail vehicle undercarriages. METROPOLITAN - VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. March 20, 1950 [April 1, 1949], No. 8924/49. Class 103(vi) The linkwork connecting the king-pin to the bogie comprises a main equalizing link 1 having pivoted to its ends secondary equalizing links 11, 12 connected to the plate 6, which may form part of or be attached to the bogie, by the links 3, 3<SP>1</SP> and 4, 4<SP>1</SP>. These latter links are formed in two parts 3a, 3b, &c. which are disposed on either side of the plate 6 and are pivoted by pins engaging bushes 8 secured in the plate 6. The pivots of the linkwork may include spherical joints or resilient bushes to allow tilting of the bogie. Specifications 656,298 and 660,226 are referred to.
