Abstract

669,343. Rotary cultivators. PETTMAN, A. V. March 22, 1949. No. 7744/49. Class 6(i). Relates to a rotary cultivator disc 2 of the type described in Specification 624,911 having sets of cutters secured to arms 1 integral with the disc, each set including a leading cutter 8, cross-cutters 10, and a blade cutter 3, the blade cutter being arranged to make incisions parallel to the plane of the disc. According to the invention, the cross-cutters are stepped so that the portion 12 projecting on one side of the disc is further from the axis than the portion 11 on the other side. The blade cutters 3 are double-edged and reversible and precede the remainder of the set.
