667,849. Spanners. APARICIO HNOS. Y CIA. ANMA. May 22, 1950, No. 12762/50. Class 61 (iii). An adjustable spanner comprises a fixed jaw 2 having a slot 4 wherein is arranged a movable jaw 3 provided with a threaded hole 9 co-operating with the screw 5 which extends through the slot. The ends of the screw are rotatably mounted in apertures 6 in the fixed jaw and are provided with a head 7 and a milled operating head 8 respectively. In a modification the screw lies along the longitudinal axis of the spanner.
