Abstract

667,646. Spray-producers &c. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORPORATION. April 11, 1950 [April 16, 1949], No. 8898/50. Class 69 (iii). An air nozzle comprises an elongated closed chamber 4 with air inlets 6, 6<SP>1</SP> and an adjustable outlet slot bounded by blades 8, 8<SP>1</SP>, and also with means providing minor adjustment of the blades at points along their length. The blades have slots 9 and slide on arms 10, and are moved transverse and at an angle to the chamber axis by bars 14, 15 secured to a yoke 13 threaded to a shaft 18 carrying a knurled knob 19. One or more sets of bars, knobs, &c., may be spaced along the chamber and operated separately or simultaneously. Slight adjustment of the blades at separate points therealong is effected by eccentric bolts 11, with their shanks fitting within elongated transverse orifices in the arms 10. Slight rotation of the bolts provides minor adjustment of the distance between the blades.
