665,684. Making moulds. HELSINGBORGS GUMMIFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG. Feb. 28, 1949, No. 5472/49. Class 83 (ii). [Also in Group V] Relates to moulds, having a cover of thin flexible sheet material, for separately hot compressing one or more separate details of an article such as a rubber shoe and consists in a method of manufacture. This may be effected, as in Specification 657,608, by superimposing a number of cut metal sheets and securing them together by riveting or welding &c. to provide a mould recess having a depth that varies in a stepwise manner, Fig. 1. The recess is lined with a metal sheet pressed into place by aid of a press cushion. The sheet may be left in the mould recess or may be removed thereform and fitted with a hard lead moulded base.
