657,608. Pressing dies for making rubber articles. HELSINGBORGS GUMMIFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG. Feb. 28, 1949, No. 5471. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group XXII] Moulds for compression moulding of soles, heels, toys, &c. of rubber and the like, consist of a sheet metal body 6 pressed with the aid of a deformable press cushion 7 of non-vulcanized rubber into a mould structure 8 built up from a number of metal sheets 1-5, said structure having a stepped recess 31. The sheet metal mould 6 may in use be backed by the structure 8, Fig. 8, or by other backing such as lead, Fig. 9 (not shown).
