A storage cabinet, as for example a refrigerated cabinet, having a drawer which requires a gasket or other seal about the drawer opening, has an improved closure which maintains the gasket under pressure when closed and is attached to the drawer. The cabinet of sheet metal including an outer casing 10 spaced from a metal liner 11 by insulating material has an insulating breaker strip 12 about a drawer opening 13 which provides access to a compartment 14 within which are mounted drawers 15, 17. The drawer opening 13 is sealed by a closure member 19 having a resilient gasket 20 and pivotally supported on a bracket 21 by bolts 22. The member 19 comprises a sheet metal cover 30 spaced from an inner liner 31 by part of the gasket 20 to minimise heat leakage and has a handle 32 and a push button 33 which operates a latch mechanism 34 to 'withdraw a bolt 35 so that the closure member 19 is released from a retaining catch 36. When the member 19 is latched in position the gasket 20 is maintained in contact with the strip 12 entirely around the opening 13 by the force of tension springs 37 connected between brackets 38 on the drawer 15 and lugs 39 on the member 19 together with the horizontal force exerted by the latch 36. When the catch is released member 19 rotates under the influence of spring 37 until an arm 40 engages a stop member 41 secured to the drawer 15 and the drawer may be moved forwardly to gain access to its contents. The drawer is closed merely by pushing the member 19 toward the cabinet the lower part making contact with the cabinet first and the member then rotating until it is retained in its closed position by the catch 36.
