Class 60 For reconditioning the worn anti-skid lugs of heavy duty tyres, a buffing wheel 6 in the form of a stiff wire brush, e.g. wire nails mounted in a hub, is journalled in a fork 7 at one end of an arm 5, the fork carrying divergent handle bars 8 and the buffing wheel being driven by a flexible shaft 18. The arm 5 is mounted by two sets of rollers 11 on a carriage 10 pivotally mounted on a block 12 adjustably secured by clamping screws 15 to a bar 14 journaled at its ends for rocking movements in spaced uprights 16. A stop collar 20 on the free end of the arm 5 prevents withdrawal of the arm.
