[Also in Group XXV] The folding leg A of a table D is secured in a U-shaped socket B pivoted at B<SP>1</SP> in a U- shaped bracket C fixed to the table, the bases B<SP>2</SP> and C<SP>1</SP> of the socket B and bracket C abutting when the leg is extended and a channel shaped arm F, which is pivoted to the bracket at G, and engages recesses F<SP>1</SP> in the sides of the socket. The arm is biased by a spring H and is formed with shaped parts F<SP>2</SP> so that it can lie along the leg when folded. The upper end of the leg is tapered so that it lies wedged between the pivot B' and the socket base B <SP>2</SP>.
