Class 99 (ii) [Also in Group XXV] An emergency leak-sealing device for fire hose comprises a flexible strip 1 having at each end metallic members 2, 3 adapted to be secured together to form a band clip on the distended hose covering the leak, the member 2 being of an arcuate form corresponding with the periphery of the distended hose. The member 3 acts as a tightening lever when its end 7 is fulcrummed on the abutment 6 of the member 2. The device is locked by a bar 11 pivoted on a screw 10 which is turned after passing through a slot 12 in the lever 3.
