660,078. Clockwork actuation of switches. LE MOINE, H. C., and BAMPER, T. L. Dec. 13, 1949. No. 31955/49. Class 38 (v). A switch for operation by spring alarm clocks comprises a moulded insulating base A having a recess in which a cam H on a shaft B<SP>1</SP> can rotate, the shaft B<SP>1</SP> being connected by a split chuck to the alarm winding arbor and having at its other end a winding key Fig. 2 (not shewn). On release of the alarm, an insulating pushpiece D slidable in the base A is depressed by the cam H so that contact pieces F disengage notches L and a contact strip E on the push-piece D bridges the contacts F. Alternatively, the push-piece D may be reversed so that on operation of the alarm, the circuit is broken. The base is enclosed by a cover and rotation of the device as a whole is prevented by its connection to an electric lead.
