Abstract
659,696. Electric ovens. DEJOND, F. J. G. Sept. 21, 1949, No. 24313. [Class 39(iii)] A rotatable oven assembly includes one or more pairs of ovens 3, 4 separated and heated by at least one heating plate 2, the treated material, e.g. india-rubber shoe soles, being clamped by screws 18 against the element. Fig. 1 shows three such pairs, with partition walls 17 between each pair, and slidable doors 12, 13, 14, the assembly being rotatable on stub shafts and bearings at each end. One stub shaft carries a slotted disc 27, Fig. 3, and a'latch 28, which is operated by a treadle bar 31 and link 29, co-operates with the slots to hold the assembly with either one of the oven rows uppermost. Each plate 2 comprises recessed metal plates housing an .element 33 controlled by a thermostat element 34 and switch 35. The latter are fed by slip-rings 37 and brushes 39.
