Abstract

659,217. Droppers. BERNABO, C. May 11, 1949, No. 12612. [Class 125(iii)] A dropper for attachment to bottles &c. b comprises a hollow elongated chamber a having walls 4, at least a portion of which is resilient and compressible, an opening at one end to be applied to the bottle, and a nozzle 8 at the other end, the nozzle and chamber having a common centre line and communicating by an outlet passage 8<SP>1</SP> in the nozzle, and means for removably securing the chamber to the bottle &c. comprising an external flange 6 surrounding the opening of the chamber, and an attachment cap c having an internally threaded skirt portion adapted to be screwed to the neck of the bottle &c. and an annular clamping portion 3' defining a central orifice 3<SP>11</SP> adapted to receive the chamber, the clamping portion 3' overlying the flange 6 and clamping the flange against the end of the neck. Rust &c. may be excluded by a screw cover 10 engaging on external thread 9 on the nozzle. The opening 3" is preferably the same size as the mouth of the bottle &c. To deliver drops the bottle is inverted and the chamber a squeezed. Specification 615,762 is referred to.
