[Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group XXIX] A cooling system for an electron tube 1 comprises an inlet 5 and an outlet 6 for coolant, the outlet connecting with a Venturi tube 3, the depression at the throat of which actuates a diaphragm 19 to close a protective switch 2 for the electron tube when the coolant flow is above a minimum value, and a temperature responsive bellows 26 around which the outflowing coolant passes. Excessive temperature of the outflowing coolant causes the bellows to expand and throttle an orifice 28 sufficiently to reduce the rate of flow of coolant below the minimum value, thereby causing the switch to be opened.
