Abstract
658,715. Cigar-making machines. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP VEREENIGDE TOBAKSINDUSTRIEEN MIGNOT & DE BLOCK. June 8, 1949, No. 15249. Convention date, June 28, 1948. [Class 130] The entire rolling table 1 of a cigarmaking machine is swung upwards about a pivot 11 to bring the tobacco-receiving pocket 8 of the rolling apron 2 immediately beneath a plunger 7 which forces a plug 16 of tobacco into the pocket. The plug 16 is cut by a knife 6 from tobacco pressed into a member 5 and after it is deposited in the pocket 8, the table 1 is swung back to its original position and a roller 3 moves across to roll the plug in a leaf 19 on the apron. Levers 18, 17 are actuated to keep the apron taut, and a spring-loaded bell-crank lever 14, 9 which clamps the mouth of the pocket 8 is actuated by a cam 15 to open the pocket when the table 1 is raised.
