657,352. Wave-producing apparatus. SCHAUFFLER, P. Feb. 3, 1949, No. 3019. Convention date, Feb. 9, 1948. [Class 26] A bath or other receptacle is provided with wave-producing apparatus comprising flaps placed adjacent the walls of said bath the flaps being hinged about horizontal axes located in the lower part of the bath and having means to oscillate them. A frame 1 is provided with depending rods 2 which carry, at each side, an axis rod 3 about which a flap 4 may be oscillated. Connecting the upper edges of the flaps 4 is a connecting arm 6 provided with a slot with which engages one end of an oscillating lever 7 which is driven by means of a shaft 11, and a disc 10 having an eccentric pin 10a engaging the forked other end of the lever 7. The shaft 11 &c. is mounted on a fixed cover 9 above which may be provided a sliding cover 14 for limiting the opening adjacent the head &c. of the bather. Heaters 16 &c. may be mounted on the sliding cover 14.
