Abstract

Hot working tools, especially dies for hot pressing are made of an alloy of the following composition:-C 0.1-0.7 per cent; Cr 0.5-2.5 per cent; V 0.5-2.0 per cent; W 0.3-1.8 per cent; Mo 0.2-1.7 per cent; Fe, and impurities, the remainder, in which alloy the total of Mo and W does not exceed 2 per cent.
