650,858. Collapsable boxes. DAVIDSSON, T. A. Sept. 21, 1948, No. 24678. [Class 18] A box of the kind comprising rigid sections hinged together to permit collapsing without disjointing has a portion 11 of the front wall spring-urged into the vertical position. The vertical corner hinges 14 are constructed to allow movement between the hinged parts along the axis of the hinges 14. The box may be held erect by a spring clamp 18. A hinged lid 21 may be provided, hinges 23 fixed to the box having portions 24 sliding in bent-over rims 22 of the lid. The lid may cover the box in the collapsed position and arrangements for locking the lid to the box in this or the erected position are provided.
